Empowering teams. Elevating care.

NPQIC-EdU(cation) partners with Nebraska healthcare teams to advance maternal and neonatal outcomes through inter-professional development, collaborative learning, and a consultative support network.

How to get started

We are now scheduling for October 2026 through December 2027!

  1. Identify a primary hospital contact for coordination with NPQIC Perinatal Quality Nurse Specialists
  1. Identify your need for on-site simulation and/or courses per above opportunities
  1. Submit details and availability windows for scheduling in NPQIC-EdU Request Form
  1. We will review your submission and reach out with date options for your team and preparation details for the visit.

Note: For support regarding policies, supplies, and change management, please email us at npqic-edu@unmc.edu

We look forward to partnering with your team to advance perinatal care across Nebraska!

Introducing...

Welcome to the NPQIC PQNS Blog!

Picture this: a rural Nebraska hospital that delivers just a handful of babies a year. When a postpartum hemorrhage happens, there’s zero time to wait for backup—the team in the room has to be ready to roll immediately.

That level of confidence and readiness doesn't happen by chance. It comes from intentional skill-building, real-world drills, top-tier resources, and bringing evidence-based care straight to the bedside.

That’s exactly what we’re doing at NPQIC, and this blog is your backstage pass!

Here's what you can look forward to:

  • Behind the scenes: a front-row look at readiness resources, simulation training, our amazing community partnerships, and the real impact they're making
  • Bite-sized evidence: new guidance and updates, broken down in plain language
  • Bedside hacks: practical, real-world wisdom for those high-stakes moments
  • Tales from the trail: highlights, memorable moments, and lessons learned as we travel across Nebraska hospitals
  • Toolbox treats: podcasts, videos, toolkits, and helpful gems you (or a teammate) will definitely want to bookmark

Got a burning question or a topic you’d love us to dive into? Drop us a line—we’d love to hear from you!
